Quality Assurance
The Roasting Company is a quality focused manufacturer dedicated to food safety. We have all the systems in place that you would expect from a responsible company handling food.
We regularly receive external audits from certifiers and global blue-chip companies who have high standards of food safety and quality. We are audited to the current BRCGS Food Safety issue 9 and are members of Sedex and Campden BRI. Also, we are Organic Certified, Kosher Certified by the Manchester Beth Din and some of our products are suitable for a Halal diet. Our roasters have validated Salmonella Kill steps in place, which gives our customers that extra peace of mind when procuring from us.
We are an AA rated British Retail Consortium Global Standard (BRCGS) Issue 9 Site. This accreditation is a Global Food Safety Standard recognised by Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). BRCGS is a very in-depth accreditation with a documented management system covering, quality, factory, products, personnel, processes, safety, authenticity, food defence, environmental and of course HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points).
Sedex, Members Ethical Trade Audit, is one of the most widely used formats for ethical audits in the world. Our responsible sourcing means we proactively source peanuts and tree nuts ethically and sustainably. Working standards, health and safety, environment and business ethics are all certified too.
We are Kosher Certified by the Manchester Beth Din and audited on an annual basis. Some of our products are also suitable for a Halal diet too. Please get in touch to find out more!
The Roasting Company are members of Campden BRI who specialise in analysis and testing services with operational support and a vigorous programme of Research and Innovation.
HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) is a proactive and preventative safety management system that we have in place for controlling critical control points across our site. This is in place to reduce the risk of deviations that could affect the safety side of our business.
Some of our products are certified Organic by The Soil Association, its standards and activities, and the practice of organic farmers are all based on a set of internationally recognised principles. Please get in touch to find out more.
